Battle Creek Fire Marshal Quincy Jones returned to 203 Post Ave. on Tuesday still seeking answers to three fires at the scene of a double homicide.
As he looked over the back steps of the house, he said investigators need help from the public to stop the fires.
"We have had a series of fires that are suspicious and that we are concerned about," he said.
At 12:40 a.m. Saturday an anonymous caller notified police dispatchers about fire at the back of the house. Police found a small fire burning after tires, wood and a plastic bucket were set on the steps.
Officers used an extinguisher on the fire and said little damage was done. But it's the third fire at the house since October, when police said two people were killed outside the house.
