Large fire destroys Davison business

PHOTOS/VIDEO: A large fire destroyed a business and shut down a busy thoroughfare Wednesday night in Davison. Firefighters with the Davison-Richfield Area Fire Department were called out shortly after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, for a commercial structure fire in the 900 block of North State Road, also known as M-15. Davison-Richfield Area Fire Chief Brian Flewelling said firefighters were on scene within three to four minutes at the building, which houses Graff Detailing and Graff Financial. “We had heavy fire involvement on the northwest corner of the building in the rear which quickly got into the attic and ran across the entire building,” he said. Multiple departments including Forest Township, Elba Township, Lapeer, Burton and Grand Blanc were called to out to the scene for mutual aid.
