Sebewaing native Kurt Corradi has been appointed to the Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council, along with seven other fire chiefs from across the state, by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Corradi, currently the fire chief for the Bay City Department of Public Safety, was approached by the president of the Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs, Jeff Roberts, to see if he was interested in representing them on the council. He accepted and after a long application process, he was chosen as one of the two to represent the MAFC, along with John David Feichtner from Holly. The council is responsible for preparing and publishing training standards, establishing courses of study, and certifying instructors for the state.
