Body camera footage shows a deputy with the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office put out a garage fire before it grew larger.
The video was shared on Facebook by the sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff’s office, Deputy Briggs was on patrol in the Prudenville area on Sunday, Sept. 8, when he heard a structure fire being dispatched.
He responded to the scene and ran into the garage, extinguishing the fire before it was able to engulf more of the structure, the sheriff’s office said.
It appeared the fire was an electrical fire, caused by items plugged in and charging in the corner of the garage, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Our deputies respond to different types of calls all day and night,” the post said. “We are proud of each and every one of them for their service, and especially proud of Deputy Brigg’s service to his community over the weekend.
