Fire destroyed a garage and caused an estimated $250,000 in damages early Sunday morning in Collegeville Township, according to a Monday release from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
"Upon arrival, the detached garage was fully engulfed and loud popping and small explosion sounds could be heard," according to the release. "The detached garaged contained two motor vehicles and a side-by-side recreational vehicle."
The property was on Knightwood Road and the fire took place about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the sheriff.
No one was injured, but two people were listed as involved in the incident: Kevin Schrom, 63, and Annamae Schrom, 60.
Responders to the fire included Avon, St. Joseph and Cold Spring fire departments, according to Monday's release.
The fire marshal is still investigating the cause of the fire.
