A kitten that was stuck in a storm drain in Duluth was rescued by a firefighter on Wednesday. Three young girls walking with their father heard the kitten crying from inside the drain and the Fire Department was called. Firefighter Jeremy Helm removed the top grate and went down inside the drain but the kitten, inside a small pipe, would not come to him. Another firefighter went down the line to the next grate and using the loud noise of air escaping from his breathing tank scared the kitten right into the arms of firefighter Helm. A neighbor provided a small cage and volunteered to take the kitten to a vet for shots and a check up and then plans to adopt it.
