No one was injured when a fire broke out at a Kasson home Sunday. Kasson firefighters responded to the fire at the home in the 100 block of Second Street Northwest at about noon. A family of three and their pets escaped after they noticed smoke inside the home. Kasson firefighters were on scene for hours to tackle the fire, which was confined to the attic. Crews fought the fire from above, cutting into the roof to get at the source of the fire. Today, fire crews continued to work on the home in the attic area.
