A Minneapolis man is charged with arson after allegedly setting a truck on fire.
A criminal complaint states that Alan Theodore Enger was taken into custody after officers were called to a vehicle fire at 3104 Oliver Avenue North in Minneapolis last Tuesday.
When police arrived, firefighters were extinguishing a truck that had severe burn damage to the interior. The complaint says investigators found Enger arguing with the owner of the burned truck over why the truck was on fire. The complaint states Enger, 54, told the victim, "because that is what you get when you (expletive) with me."
According to the complaint, when officers arrested Enger, he repeatedly referred to himself as an arsonist.
The victim told officers he got into an argument with Enger before leaving his house. After he returned, his truck was on fire, the complaint states.
