Crews are still on the scene putting out hot spots and doing extensive cleanup after an early morning fire broke out at Murphy Brothers Remodeling on 93rd Lane NE in Blaine. According to SBM Fire Chief Charlie Smith, the department was notified of the fire around 2:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived flames were jumping through the roof, according to Smith. A portion of that roof collapsed just before first responders arrived. The fire was contained to the portion of the building where the roof collapsed, and was put down before it could spread to any neighboring buildings.
