When people picture members of a fire department, they may think of people in full protective gear going through burning buildings or riding on a fire engine.
For departments like the city of Randall’s though, another side of the department is the rescue teams that respond to incidents ranging from car accidents to medical emergencies.
One member of the Randall Fire and Rescue Team that works a lot on the rescue side of operations is Andrea Wippler.
When she moved to Randall four years ago, Wippler was looking for ways to connect with other members of the community.
“I just really wanted to belong to a group,” she said. “I just love the community involvement.”
Wippler moved to Randall from the Sobieski-Flensburg area when she was staying with her sister for a while.
