A fire extinguisher is meant to be discharged and sprayed to contain a fire, but you don’t want to spray or waste a drop of this Xtinguisher. It’s a beer called Red Xtinguisher and the only emergency it is meant be used for is to quench a thirst. Waconia Brewing is located across the street from the Waconia Fire Station and firefighters often stop by the establishment evenings after training or a meeting, notes co-owner Dee DeLange. “We will even stay open after hours for them,” she said. It’s a special bond, especially since firefighters responded to a fire a few years ago at the DeLange residence. “They hold a special place and we really wanted to do something for them,” DeLange said.
