Multiple Departments Fight Virginia Fire

Firefighters from over half a dozen Iron Range fire departments responded to a house fire Sunday night in Virginia. According to Friends of the Northland Firewire, the fire was reported around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Street North and North Second Avenue West. Officials say the house was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Virginia, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, Gilbert, Hibbing, Fayal, and Pike-Sandy-Britt departments were all on scene. The Eveleth Ambulance Service provided medical standby while the Biwabik Fire Department provided a crew that stood by at the Virginia Fire Department.
