Firefighters responded to two grass fires on Maple Grove Road Thursday afternoon.
According to the KBJR 6 reporter on-scene, the fires were on Maple Grove Road, one near the intersection with Peterson Road, and the other near the intersection with Solway Road.
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officials say one fire was 3/4 of an acre, while the other was 1/10 of an acre in size.
Officials say the fire near Peterson Road was started by a car on fire nearby. It's unclear what caused the car fire.
Both fires have been contained, and the DNR reports crews remain on scene as of 3:15 p.m. Thursday to monitor any remaining hot spots.
