Pets escape, but Little Falls fire leaves residents without a home

A residential fire in Little Falls left its residents without a home Wednesday, Aug. 10. The Little Falls Fire Department responded to a house fire, reported at 8:33 a.m., at 205 Seventh St. SE. in Little Falls. When the firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke throughout the house and a fire in the kitchen area, the fire department reported in a news release. The residents weren’t at home at the time of the fire but the two pets inside the home were able to get out of the building on their own. The fire caused extensive damage in the kitchen with some of the fire spreading into the attic above the kitchen, fire officials reported. There was smoke and water damage throughout the house.
