One dog killed in Adair County fire that burns two trailers to the ground

One dog was killed after a pair of trailers caught fire in Adair County on Tuesday. First responders were called to an address near 20495 Thousand Hills Trail around 4:30pm. Deputy Kirksville Fire Chief Travis Gregory told KTVO at the scene that a pair of trailers caught fire. Both are a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Nobody was injured in the fire. Firefighters at the scene told KTVO that 1 dog perished in the fire, but we do know that at least two dogs were saved. Firefighters from the Kirksville Fire Department and the Adair County Fire Department battled the blaze for more than an hour on Tuesday.
