Multiple units from Havre Fire Department were on the scene of a gas leak near Highland Park Early Primary School before 10 A.M. this morning.
At least two homes directly next to the school were evacuated, and Havre Police were redirecting traffic from 11th Street West along with firefighters, who blocked off Washington Avenue in front of the school.
The leak, which can be smelled from blocks away, is related to utility work that was being done near the north side of Highland Park Early Primary.
