Last year, the Absarokee Community Foundation awarded $35,000 in grants to 19 local non-profit groups for projects that highlighted the goals of helping to better the Absarokee community.
This week, the ACF is highlighting grant recipient the Absarokee Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
The ACF granted the Absarokee EMS $5,000 to aid in the purchase of much needed equipment. Other major funding sources for the Patient Transport/Movement Project include: Absarokee Ambulance Equipment Fund and the Absarokee Civic Club.
Absarokee EMS is a division of the Absarokee Rural Fire District charged with providing high-quality emergency medical services (ambulance) to the local community. Staffed with a combination of one full-time Chief Officer as well as volunteer EMTs, the Absarokee EMS has a Rural Fire District budget of $250,000 and relies on fund raising efforts and donations for the purchase of capital equipment.
