An early-morning house fire in Great Falls is still being investigated. It happened at 1007 6th Avenue South on Tuesday, February 23. Great Falls Fire Marshal Mike McIntosh said in a news release on Tuesday afternoon that there were no injuries and no one was inside the residence, noting that the house is not currently occupied and is being used for personal storage. The damage caused by the fire was "heavy," according to McIntosh, but there is no word at this point on any estimated dollar amount of damage. At this time, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and Great Falls Fire Rescue is continuing to investigate.
