A man-made structure caught fire Monday morning at the Reserve Street bridge camp in Missoula. Missoula Fire responded with a type 1 engine to put out the blaze roughly 500 feet from the west side of the bridge. They called it a big fire that took about three hours to put out. Crews drove a utility vehicle under the bridge and used pumps in the river to extinguish the blaze. There were reports of propane tank explosions prior to fire crews' arrival, and they say a wooden structure was fully engulfed in flames. They suspect the cause to be a campfire. No one was injured.
