Missoula Rural Fire Department crews quickly extinguished a structure fire on Tower Street on Thursday afternoon. Officials say it is the fourth significant fire in the last four days and urge caution heading into the 4th of July holiday weekend. The call for Thursday’s fire at 130 Tower St. came in at 3:40 p.m. Once on scene, firefighters found smoke and fire coming from a storage building. Flames also spread to grass, a nearby tree and a well. Crews put out the bulk of the fire in less than 10 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
