York Volunteer Fire Department responded and extinguished two different lightning-caused wildfires on Tuesday. Officials say that great teamwork and "outside the box" thinking helped them get the fires under control. Officials remind folks visiting the area during Independence Day weekend that while its a great time to recreate in the national forest, its critical that campfires are put out and cold. Visitors should exert extra caution on the roads and have an emergency plan as well.
