Authorities are investigating a fire and a death in Haywood County. The fire was at a home on Water Wheel Cove between Clyde and Fines Creek. Haywood County authorities said one person was found dead, though a cause of death was not given. The also said the fire did not appear to be recent. Fines Creek Fire Department is working the case.
