One fire department in the mountains has launched a new tool to make tracking first responders easier. Columbus Fire Chief Tony Priester said it's a way for the department to be more transparent. When you go to the Columbus Fire and Rescue website, you'll now find a live real-time feed. "All our active 911 shows up on here, so people can actually go there and see where we’re heading," Priester said. It's linked to the county's dispatch system and also connected to the Columbus Fire Department Facebook page. "It was just a matter of going in there and turning on a certain setting for that to happen," said Priester. But, does it go too far? Some people have expressed concerns about that, saying they don't want their addresses shown publicly.
