Crash Sends Two to Hospital in Duplin County

PHOTOS: Late Friday afternoon, firefighters from Oak Wolfe Fire Department and Duplin County EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of Jim Outlaw Road and Summerlin Crossroad Road. After the intersection collision, one of the vehicles veered off and slammed into a nearby structure causing damage to an old-style farm house. As the fire and EMS arrived on the scene, they assisted two people, one from each vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital with injuries. The accident is under investigation by Duplin County Highway Patrol. Firefighters remained on the scene for about 45 minutes while the wreckage was cleaned up.
