Firefighters make quick work of fire at Salisbury flea market

Firefighters in Salisbury made quick work of a fire at a local business on Wednesday morning. According to the Salisbury Fire Department, firefighters responded to a call in the 400 block of N. Lee Street at around 1:00 am. When they arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming from the building. The business is a commercial auction house known as Beggers Bazaar. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire quickly. They said it was mostly contained to a porch and dock area on the building. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Salisbury Police said on Wednesday that the fire may have been set. Investigators also said there was a vehicle fire in the same area at around the same time.
