A Stanly County home was destroyed in a multi-alarm fire that broke out late Thursday evening. Crews responded to the house fire around 8 p.m. on Strawberry Lane, which runs between Polk Fork Road and Tite Road in the town of Furr. Firefighters from Stanly, Union and Cabarrus Counties all worked to get the blaze under control. 20 area fire departments were called out to help extinguish the fire. Officials reported no one was hurt after the fire was under control. There is no word on what may have sparked the fire.
