A car was destroyed after being engulfed in flames early Wednesday in Durham County. The Bahama Fire Department said they responded to a call around 2:45 a.m. and found the car on fire. The car was at the entrance to the Red Mill Road Public Fishing Area near the Eno River. Someone driving by saw the flames and flagged down a law enforcement officer about 5 miles away. Authorities were working to learn who owned the car, as no one was with the car when firefighters arrived, and its license plate had burned off.
