VIDEO: Atlantic Beach's Fire Chief is in critical condition following a skiing accident. City leaders confirm Chief Adam Snyder had the accident Saturday at Virginia's Wintergreen Resort. Beaufort Assistant Fire Chief Richard Lovick spoke to NewsChannel 12 via FaceTime about his friend who is now fighting for his life. "We need prayers," said Assistant Chief Lovick. "Prayers is what we need." Lovick fought back tears as he spoke about his friend of more than 20 years. He said Snyder is one-of-a-kind. "He doesn't mind getting his hands dirty," said Lovick. "If we ever had a fire in Beaufort, he showed up. It wasn't, 'Can I help run command?' No. He wanted to get in the mix."
