Wilmington police and firefighters face off on the ice for annual fundraiser

VIDEO: The series is tied at 3-3. That’s why this seventh annual Guns and Hoses Charity Ice Hockey Game is important for bragging rights to those hitting the ice. The event is Sat., March 16 at 4:30 p.m. at the Wilmington Ice House. It pits Wilmington police officers against Wilmington firefighters with all proceeds going to Access of Wilmington, Inc. The organization helps children, adults and veterans with disabilities by making sure they have access to fitness, sports and recreation. Tickets are available at any Wilmington fire station or WPD headquarters. Children 12 and under get in free. Spectators are advised to arrive early to avoid long lines.
