VIDEO: A community came together Sunday to mourn the death of a man who inspired many across the state. Atlantic Beach Fire Chief Adam Snyder died Monday following a tragic skiing accident in Virginia. Hundreds of people attended his memorial service in Morehead City. One man said, "A great man is gone and we cannot let him pass without learning from him." The two-hour service was live streamed on several websites. More than 500 uniformed firefighters from departments in Virginia, North and South Carolina came to pay their respects. The Charlottesville Fire Chief and some of his staff, who stayed with Snyder when he arrived at the hospital in Virginia, even came to show their support. Others who attended the service didn't know Snyder personally.
