Authorities said the driver of a car that hit a Riceville firetruck Wednesday night was texting at the time. Troopers charged 23-year-old Brian Underwood with texting while driving and failure to maintain lane control after his car crossed the center line and slammed head-on into the fire truck. Underwood and some of the firefighters suffered minor injuries.
