VIDEO: A house destroyed in a fire on Wednesday morning has a property tax value around $2.6 million, according to a Wake County real estate search.
According to Zillow, the house at 4525 Green Level West Rd., near Chatham County, was built in 1911 and is 3,414 sq. ft. The lot is around 50 acres.
At 7 a.m., Sky 5 showed firefighters using hoses to battle thick smoke at the home. Officials said the home was completely destroyed.
Firefighters said the call came in around 3:30 a.m. Two adults escaped the home with no reported injuries. There were no pets at the home.
Firefighters said the fire was out by 6 a.m., but clean-up was underway.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
