Local first responders are coming together to help one of their own after a tragic incident back in August. Firefighter Tyler Decker, Lt. Nathan Lambeth and A-RC-H Fire & Rescue Ladies Auxiliary are putting on a hot dog supper Saturday to raise money for Heather Haynes, a paramedic who lost her leg when a driver pinned her against an ambulance. “It definitely takes more of a toll on you with it being one of your brothers or sisters,” Decker said. “You try to do anything you can to help them out no matter what they need.” The event will be from 2 to 8 p.m. at A-RC-H, located at 1374 Ruff Leonard Road. There will be hot dogs, desserts, chips and drinks. Donations will be accepted, and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Haynes.
