PHOTO: One person has died in an early morning fire in Pink Hill. The Pink Hill Fire Department and other mutual aid fire departments were sent to a home on Potters Hill Road just before 6:00 a.m. and found the house ablaze. Crews began extinguishing the fire and searching the house and officials say during their search, they found a victim who had died in the fire. The Pink Hill and Deep Run Fire Departments are still on the scene extinguishing hot spots, and the Lenoir County Sheriffs Office and Lenoir County Emergency Services Officials are conducting the fire and death investigations. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations, North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal and ATF are helping with the investigation.
