PHOTO: Fire crews are battling a large fire at May Furniture on Reed Creek Road in Ramseur, Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out around 5 a.m.
Erik Beard, Fire Marshal with Randolph County Fire, says an officer spotted the flames and called 911. Fire crews rushed to the scene in about six minutes. When they arrived, the building was engulfed in flames.
Fire crews are still working to get the fire under control and extinguished.
Right now, crews are using a drone to find hot spots.
Once the fire is out, investigators will work to find out the cause of the fire. About nine fire crews responded to the scene. No one was hurt and no one was inside the building when the fire happened.
