Firefighters worked to extinguish flames at a house that caught fire in Asheboro Saturday afternoon. According to Lt. Jason Joines, the Asheboro Fire Department responded to the structure fire at 407 Mt. Cross St., Asheboro. The fire was reported around 2 p.m. No one was injured, though the house was deemed unlivable. The cause of the fire was ruled undetermined following an investigation into how it began.
