A special week to celebrate all the hard work our EMS staff put in every day. This week is the 46th Annual National EMS Week.
In appreciation of their service, a thank you lunch was provided on Thursday, May 21, as a way to say thank you to Buncombe County EMS staff for their hard work in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Normally we sit down and have conversation and we normally award, in front of everyone, our technician of the year, and that happened yesterday," said Buncombe County EMS Operations Supervisor Max Boswell.
Buncombe County Emergency Medical Services staff have filled many roles throughout our countywide response to COVID-19. In addition to their daily jobs and call volume, EMS staff have also provided invaluable expertise in the Emergency Operations Center and Logistics.
