A woman insider a home on Chisenhall Road, near Angier, woke up to the sound of her dogs barking loudly early Saturday morning and found that her house was on fire. Flames were through the roof by the time the first firefighters arrived, authorities said. The home's attached garage was gutted, officials said. Although firefighters were able to keep most of the flames away from the living area, the home did suffer substantial smoke and heat damage. While firefighters were working to put out the fire, a car drove over a fire hose and struck one of the fire engines near the scene. Although damage to the fire truck was minimal, authorities said that the driver faces multiple charges of a move over violation and driving while her license was revoked.
