An apartment fire in Greensboro took firefighters 30 minutes to get under control on Monday, officials said. Around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 17, Madison Woods Apartments was reported to be on fire. Six residents were displaced due to the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials reported that no one was injured. Red Cross responders and local emergency personnel have determined several people have been impacted by the fire that affected eight units. Volunteers with the Greater Carolinas Region's Disaster Action Team were responding to provide assistance for immediate needs.
