Rowan County has hired Bryan Edwards as Emergency Medical Services division chief.
“I look forward to working with Bryan in his efforts to make our EMS team the best in North Carolina and bring advancements in pre-hospital care to the citizens of Rowan County,” Emergency Services Chief Allen Cress said in a news release.
As EMS division chief, Edwards will supervise emergency call response, transport, billing and collection activities. He’ll oversee daily operations of the division, train staff and research and develop new policies and procedures, among other duties. Edwards comes to Rowan County with more than three decades of experience in emergency services. He began his career in emergency services with Anson County in 1988, where he served as an EMT-I Supervisor. In 1990, he moved to Union EMS, where he served as a paramedic and field training officer for nine years.
