No one hurt after single-engine aircraft makes crash landing at Concord airport

A single-engine aircraft with one pilot and no passengers made a crash landing at Concord-Padgett Regional Airport on Friday, officials from the city of Concord said. The Cirrus SR22's landing gear failed, initial information indicates. No one was hurt. The Concord Fire Department responded to the reported plane crash a little after 3:30 p.m. Fire personnel provided basic life support to the pilot. That person refused any treatment due to lack of injuries. The aircraft was moved out of the Runway Safety Area, officials said. The Concord Airport was closed for nearly two hours. Officials said the Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
