The High Point Fire Department confirmed two firefighters were injured on call, Monday afternoon.
Dust was collected at High Point Furniture Industries, according to the HPFD. A call came in around noon. That's when two responding firefighters were injured by a flash fire that arose from dust itself.
Around 1:30 p.m., both were taken to the hospital. One has since been released, while the second firefighter is still being treated for first to second-degree burns that are non-life threatening.
There is no damage to the building.
HPFD cleaned up the sawdust and say the scene is safe, now.
