A restaurant in Thomasville will be hosting a fundraiser for a Silver Valley firefighter injured in a crash on Highway 109 three weeks ago. Skippers Seafood will be donating all proceeds from Monday's event to help firefighter Brian Reeder as he continues on his road to recovery. "It was hard, it hit home for a lot of us," said Silver Valley Firefighter Clayton Gallimore of the crash. "It took a toll on a lot of us as fire people and it took a toll on other EMS personnel." Gallimore was one of the Silver Valley firefighters who responded to the deadly car crash on Highway 109 on Jan. 6, which ultimately ended up killing four people. One of the fire department's own, Firefighter Brian Reeder, was injured in that crash. "It took a toll on him, too," said Gallimore. "He didn't eat for days, it was hard to sleep for a while – a lot of stuff after a wreck like that, it plays with your mind. It's hard."
