The Walnut Cove Fire Department is investigating the cause of a building fire on Main Street Tuesday morning. Crews said it happened during the six o'clock hour. According to the fire department, the fire has been extinguished. Firefighters blocked off Main Street from 4th to 6th Streets while crews worked to clear the area. Traffic is being rerouted around this area while the area is blocked off. Crews said that no one was injured in the fire.
