Firefighters in Cornelius rescued a worker stuck in a lift at an apartment building under construction on Saturday. According to the Cornelius-Lemley Fire Department, the crew was notified by the foreman on site that one of his workers was stuck in a stalled lift on the side of the building about 30 feet up. Firefighters made contact with the worker and confirmed that he wasn’t hurt or in distress and just needed help down. Once firefighters arrived, they set their ladder to the lift basket and helped the worker to the ground. “Right place at the right time!” the department wrote on Facebook.
