VIDEO/PHOTOS: Firefighters in Burke County were called to a minivan fire that was sparked by a children’s book over the weekend. The George Hildebran Fire & Rescue Department said Sunday that a child’s car seat caught fire soon after they had gotten out. According to the Williams family when they arrived home from church roughly 20 minutes before the fire started. The family says a neighbor alerted them there was smoke coming from the family’s minivan. They said a neighbor was able to hose down the fire before first responders arrived. After the flames were put out, the Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fire was started by a “button battery” inside a book that was left underneath the seat. “It’s just crazy to me, to think tat would ever happen with a children’s book.,” said mother Destiny Williams.
