Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire call early Tuesday morning in northeast Lincoln that is being referred to as a suspected arson. Emergency crews arrived at the home near 47th and Gladstone around 7:30 a.m. Lincoln Police also responded to the scene. Traffic was temporarily blocked off in the area and there was tape around the lot. LPD said there is evidence to suggest that the fire started on purpose, and is being investigated as an arson. The fire was quickly put out by a garden hose before crews arrived. Police are also looking into the possibility of a connection between this fire and another that occurred on June 11.
