Beatrice Assistant Fire Chief Jake Carrel will soon become Kaukauna, Wisconsin’s New Fire Chief. His wife, Angela…originally from Norfolk, grew up in Kaukauna. Carrel started his firefighting career 19 years ago in Beatrice as a firefighter, moved up to Captain, then to Assistant Chief of the department. He and his wife have three children…Ryan, Emily and Owen. Angela is a math teacher at Beatrice High School. Jake’s new position begins May 28th and his last day with the Beatrice Department will be Friday.
All are excited for the move, though Jake does acknowledge he’ll miss being with the Beatrice Fire and Rescue Department.
