A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon in Norfolk, Nebraska. The fire was at MP Global, a manufacturing plant on Riverside Boulevard. MP Global officials said that there were no injuries and there is an estimated 20,000 dollars worth of damage. They also said the cause of the fire was a hot piece of metal getting stuck in the grinding material. The Norfolk Fire Division responded and was assisted by Fire Departments from Hadar, Battle Creek, and Hoskins-Woodland Park. They said the fire was contained when they arrived. The Madison County Sheriff's Department was also on scene helping to direct traffic. "We have a water sprinkler system and a CO2 system, so both of those activated and put the flame out right away. And again, mostly smoke damage not much fire," said Al Collison, Owner and CEO of MP Global.
