The Chadron Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the 2021 Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighter Association Annual Conference Oct. 14 - 17. "Please welcome our fellow first responders to Chadron," Chadron Volunteer Fire Department said. "We are lucky enough to host our Nebraska State Volunteer Firefighters Association Conference this year. It has been 11 years since we last hosted. It will bring in firefighters from all over Nebraska." On Oct. 16 there will be a Fire Truck Parade starting on 1st and Main Street going to 6th Street in Chadron. "It does sound like a cool event," Chadron City Manager John Sutherland said. "It's a great thing. It's one of those really nice things the city does to give people the opportunity to enjoy a parade and see their fire department out and the equipment. It's always nice to have those big popular community events."
